Deaf Smith Electric Cooperative and Golden Spread Electric Cooperative are pleased to offer a variety of scholarships to students in our service area. 

Golden Spread Electric Cooperative offers a $2,000 scholarship to students who plan to attend a college in New Mexico, Kansas, Oklahoma or Texas. The scholarship deadline is March 1st each calendar year.

DSEC awards scholarships yearly to immediate families of active members and current employees of the co-op. Since the program began in 1998, DSEC has awarded almost $500,000 in scholarships to members across the cooperative's system. The scholarship is for $2,000 and is awarded in the amount of $1,000 per semester for two semesters.

This year, we've partnered with the Amarillo Area Foundation to administer our program. Students will fill out their general scholarship form and select Deaf Smith Electric Cooperative scholarship when applying. Applications are due Friday, March 12th.
